A list whose pictures speak too

A parts list whose first column is a picture rather than a word. Each picture carries the sentence somebody hears in its place, so nothing in the list is lost on a reader who cannot see it. On the page, the pictures are simply pictures.

This one is not a program. It is the request the document server is sent: the same page, asked for over the network by an application that writes no PDF code at all.

The library draws the heading and the page number one line at a time, naming the lettering before saying where the line sits; the request asks for each of them as a small block of text that states where its own first line goes. The hidden copy of the page is opened a shade earlier around the heading in the library's file than in this one, and is read the same way either way. The library also files the document under a title; a request states a title along with everything else a file says about itself, and this one says nothing about itself, so its file is filed under no name. None of that is drawn on the page, and the two documents match to the dot.
