What You Pay, and for How Long

Every published price is on this page: add up your year, and you have your annual cost.

The Figures

Here they are. Everyone pays the same figure. Some cases fall outside this list — a very large volume, several companies in one group, or terms your own legal department writes — and those we price with you; the section below, “If you create a great many documents”, says how to ask.

  • Nothing at all — to try it out. Every page comes out with a watermark: wording written across it. Under the watermark the pages are laid out exactly as a paid plan lays them out, with one difference: every letter is traced as a shape instead of being written as text. No text on the page can be selected, searched or copied; the file carries no font, and it is heavier than the same page written as text. Tracing a letter needs its glyph, so a page comes out only when every font its text is set in is either sent with your request or already held by the service. The editor on this site and the examples on the API page are set that way. Anything else needs a paid licence: the service creates no document, and its answer names what was asked for and says a licence key covers it.
  • 14 € excl. tax a month — 3 000 documents a month, created on our machines.
  • 24 € excl. tax a month — As many documents as you please, created on our machines.
  • 2 900 € excl. tax once — to own the library outright and install it wherever your own programs run.
  • 5 900 € excl. tax once — for the server and the library together, on your own machines.

Each price is written twice. The first figure, marked excl. tax, is the price before tax. The second, marked incl. tax, is that price with the tax a company in France pays added to it, at 20%; a company registered for VAT claims that tax back, so the first figure is what it ends up paying. For a buyer outside France, no French tax is added when they give a European VAT number or are based outside the European Union, and the invoice states which applies.

A subscription renews, and what you bought stays yours

A subscription runs month by month. It renews on its own until you stop it, you stop it by writing to us whenever you like, and it then runs to the end of the month already paid for.

The library and the server bought outright renew nothing: what you bought stays yours. If you need another licence, you can buy one whenever you like.

The figures are public, and you may pass them on

A price nobody has to ask for can be checked, compared and budgeted. Ours are written here, and you may pass them on as they stand.

If You Create a Great Many Documents

Beyond what the monthly plans are meant for, we write a company contract with you, with no ceiling on the documents it covers. Ask us.

Technically

A document counts as one, however many pages come out of it. Where your plan includes a number of documents each month, every one you create is counted: as you come close to that number we write to you, and once you reach it the service stops there for the rest of the month. No extra charges: your invoice shows the price of your plan alone. The plan with no ceiling never stops, however many documents you create. Your month runs from the day you subscribed to the same day of the next month, not from the first of the calendar month.

A request that fails costs nothing, so you can send it again: we count only the documents created.

The two licences are paid by bank transfer, never by card. Ask for the invoice: it carries our bank details, and your licence key is delivered once the transfer has arrived.
