The JSON file of the “Stamps fitted to a rectangle” example. What a document says about itself — DRAFT, COPY, PAID — laid across rectangles of four different shapes and scaled to each.

JSON 230 lines

This file is a request: an application sends it over the network to the server, which creates the PDF and sends it back. It makes the same page as the Rust and Python versions of this example. A request names every file it uses, never its content; the call carries the request and the files together. A font the server already holds, such as DejaVuSans, is named with nothing attached. Send the request to the address the API page gives.

What this example is for

DRAFT, COPY, PAID, SPECIMEN: the words a document says about itself, and the first thing an auditor looks for. They have to be unmissable and they have to lie across whatever they are marking — a whole page today, one table cell tomorrow, a translated word half as long again next month — so their size can never be settled in advance.
