write_pdfa4.json
The JSON file of the “PDF/A-4 Terms of Carriage on PDF 2.0” example. Terms of carriage written to the fourth part of the archival standard, the one built on PDF 2.0, which drops the A, B and U levels of the earlier parts.
This file is a request: an application sends it over the network to the server, which creates the PDF and sends it back. It creates the same page as the Rust and Python versions of this example. A request names every file it uses, never its content; the call carries the request and the files together. A font the server already holds, such as DejaVuSans, is named with nothing attached. Send the request to the address the API page gives.
What This Example Is For
The fourth part of the archival standard is the one archives turn to now that PDF has a second version. It drops the A, B and U levels of the earlier parts: a record meets the part or does not, and only two letters add to it, F for attached files of any kind and E for engineering drawings. A document still written on an older version cannot claim it at all.
What This Example Shows
- Terms of carriage, written on the second version of PDF.
- No A, B or U level: a record meets the fourth part or does not.
- The title the page shows is the title the file states, in one place only.
