write_pdfa1b.json
The JSON file of the “A PDF/A-1b Certificate of Employment” example. A certificate written to the first and strictest part of the archival standard: PDF 1.4, nothing see-through, nothing that can be switched off, no attachment.
This file is a request: an application sends it over the network to the server, which creates the PDF and sends it back. It creates the same page as the Rust and Python versions of this example. A request names every file it uses, never its content; the call carries the request and the files together. A font the server already holds, such as DejaVuSans, is named with nothing attached. Send the request to the address the API page gives.
What This Example Is For
A depositary or a registry that fixed its rules years ago may still ask for the first part of the archival standard by name. A document sent to it in a later part comes back refused, however well it is written, and somebody has to create it again.
What This Example Shows
- A one-page certificate of employment, written on PDF 1.4.
- Every font it draws with carried inside the file, so nothing waits on what a computer has installed.
- Nothing see-through, nothing that can be switched off, no file attached, as the first part demands.
